The Food 4 Kids Program at Whitesboro Elementary is sponsored by Christ's
Food
Center.
We provide nutritious, kid-friendly weekend food to school age children. To
be eligible for the Food 4 Kids Program, a child must attend school at
Whitesboro Elementary, be 5 years or older, enrolled for 2011-2012 in K-6th
grade.
While every child is important to us, funding will limit the number of children
we can accept this year. When we first began to explore the need for the Food
4 Kids Program, we never imagined how many children were hungry
in our small community. We had expected maybe 10 or 15. But there are
64 children who live at poverty level and are food insecure in the elementary
school. Needless to say, only God can provide for these children through
people like you.
$175 will sponsor each child for the entire school year.
We will honor individual commitments of $17.50 a month for the 10 month school
year. We are a 501c3 and donations are tax deductible. We will being
purchasing food July 21. School begins August 9. Please help as you are able.
